Ayşe Yavaş

Born in İzmir 1971, Ayşe Yavaş started taking private piano lessons from French Madam Coletto Boundat the age of six, and continued with Turgut Aldemir and Aykut Yafe in the following years. In 1994, she graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Fine Arts Faculty Music Sciences Department with EF International School of English. While studying at Lesley College in Boston, the capital city of Massachusetts, USA, she gave private piano lessons to children aged 6-10. After receiving the Ege University Pedagogical Education Formation, she worked as a music teacher in many private and public schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in İzmir.

She directed various choirs. Her interviews with musicians were published in Andante Music Magazine and Cumhuriyet Newspaper. She has been the producer and presenter of many annotated classical music programs at TRT İzmir Radio since 1993. Among the main programs she has made are Music Festivals, Classical Feast Themes in Music, Music Journey Through the Centuries, Music Dile Gelse and Allegro from World Radios. Between 2014-2019, she produced and hosted the Classic Feast program broadcast at 10:00 on Sundays at Ege Campus studios. Yavaş, who is also a member of Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation, performed music, piano and choir studies with students until the epidemic period in this institution. She prepared and presented the Pizzicato program at Borusan Classic Radio, which belongs to the Carnival Group, between 2017-2020. She is the producer and presenter of the Musical Chats and Allegro programs currently broadcast on TRT Radio-3. 

In May 2021, the album Orhan Veli, 7 Poems, 7 Music was released on all digital platforms.
