Feyzi Erçin

Born in 1970, Feyzi Ercin graduated from Istanbul University Law School in 1993. He is practicing law since then and has established his own firm with his partners, in 2006.
 
Feyzi has been playing the piano as an amateur and with no formal training, since 1983. As of 2001, he is continuing his studies with Ali Darmar. During such period, he has entered amateur piano competitions in Paris (2004) and Warsaw (2012) and attended classes with Germaine Mounier, Idil Biret and Emre Elivar.
 
Feyzi has been contributing to Andante since 2003 and has had the opportunity to attend both 2010 and 2015 Chopin Competitions in Warsaw, as well as travel to Venezuela to cover El Sistema in anticipation of their visit to Istanbul. He has made interviews with many important musicians including Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim and Ingolf Wunder, as well as reviewing CD’s, DVD’s, concerts.
 
He was chosen to be a member of the Istanbul Music Festival’s Advisory Board in 2010 and since 2013, he has been lecturing on “Classical Music in Cinema” at the Bosphorous University.
