In the name of World Peace Day

Turkish pianist, composer and accordionist Hakan Ali Toker plans to jump off the peak of Mount Babadağ in Fethiye, Turkey on September 21, 2017, World Peace Day. Toker will have his accordion with him and he will be paragliding, assisted by a pilot. During his 40-minute long descent towards the Fethiye Ölüdeniz seaside, he will play traditional songs and dances from all around the world, starting with Turkey and its neighbours.

The event will take place as part of the 6th Fethiye Benyamin Sönmez Classical Music Festival; organised in memory of Benyamin Sönmez, the outstanding Turkish cellist whom Toker used to work with, who died unexpectedly at the age of 27, in the middle of a fast rising career.
