Ani Arsu

Ani Arsu is originally from Istanbul Turkey. She had her first piano lessons under Levon Eroyan and her first public performance at the age of eight.
While she continued piano training and music theory under Prof. Jirayr Arslanyan, she won the 2nd prize in the Sirvart Karamanuk Vocal performance competition and was invited as soloist to the Sayat Nova Choir conducted by Kevork Tavityan. She received her bachelor’s degree at Istanbul University in Classical Philology, Latin Language and Literature. She then completed her master’s degree at the Istanbul Technical University in the Department for Advanced Studies in Music under Dr. Paul Whitehead with a thesis on the music of Edgar Manas, who orchestrated the Turkish National Anthem. Simultaneously, she studied vocal training under Lynn Trepel.
Later on, she focused on music education and pedagogical methods and received the piano instructor license diploma from Thames Valley University in the U.K. In 2009, she co-founded the Arsu Academy of Fine Arts with Çağlar Arsu where she has been training many gifted young musicians since. To this day, she continues her mission of supporting young musician candidates with the Arsu Stage Spring Concert project where young performers meet renowned, world-class professionals to share the same stage and venture into the international concert scene to establish a career.
